My First Trip to Russia

This winter holiday I went to Russia with my parents. During the ten days’ visit, Russia’s vast territory, vast forest coverage and beautiful landscapes impressed me deeply.

But what impressed me most about Russia is their patriotic education from the childhood. In nearly every scenic spot, I happened to see some Russian students visiting museums and statues. The students were guided by some Russian teachers. The teachers were introducing the Russian history and the contributions of famous people to the country to the students. Our guide told me that Russian schools should arrange their students to visit Russia’s patriotic bases every month. In Russia, most Russians can only speak Russian. And in public places I could only see Russian signs. From these aspects I can realize that the Russians are very confident of their country. Besides, what makes me happy is that although some service staff can’t speak English, they can speak Chinese, which shows that China is very powerful and very important in the world. I feel so proud!

Now the 19^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China is being held. I watch CCTV news every night. I have been used to watching CCTV news from my childhood. I have learned a lot from that. As a student, I think I must care about current affairs, read more books and newspapers. We should love our country, develop patriotism from childhood, study hard and learn more knowledge. Thus, when we grow up, we will be able to build our country and make our country the leader of the world!
