A wonderful sports meeting

There was a sports meeting last week in our school once a year. There were many projects for students to join in. I took part in two projects. One was long-jump and the other is 100-meter race which I was quite good at. I was quite confident in winning the first prize.

At the first day, all the students were very excited and enthusiastic. There was cheer in every young face and a spring in every step. We at last didn’t need to have classes any more. Students were sitting on the playground which is full of laughers and they couldn’t help shouting.

From the speakers I knew it was my turn to partake the 100-meter race. I was standing on the runway and I was not nervous at all because my classmates were cheering for me. That gave me confidence. Soon the contest started. The more my classmates cheered for me, the faster I ran. The other runners were not so fast as me. The game finally came to an end and I won the first prize.

In the afternoon I partook the long-jump item. I was not nervous at all because the long jump is my strong point too. In the end, I won the game but I was unhappy for I only jumped up to four point two meters high, my target is four point five meters. What a nice day!

The second day. Our sport meeting was postponed because of the rain. We were supposed to hold the sports meeting in the morning but we had classes instead. The rain wasted our entire morning. What a bad day!

In the afternoon, it stopped raining. Our sports meeting continued. I took part in the class relay race where we were in the fourth place. It was a pity that we were not the first.

After the sports meeting, I decide to take more exercise every day and try to be a successful runner. I hope I can win the applause from all over the world.
