Traditional Chinese Costumes

I am deeply keen on Chinese costumes, which without doubt represent our long history and rich culture. They are so beautiful in my heart, but nowadays not so many people know about this kind of traditional Chinese costumes. What a pity!

The traditional costumes have a long history of more than 5000 years and they are various in kinds, which may satisfy most people’s taste. However, with the development of science and economy, our society is progressing, the traditional costumes seem to be out of fashion. As times goes by, fewer and fewer people know about this culture heritage and they gradually disappear in modern society. Maybe one day, we can only see them in the costumes plays.

What’s worse, some people even think they are in Japanese style. Once, a boy saw a girl wearing traditional costumes in the street, he thought it was a Japanese dress and forced her to take it off. I feel so sad about what happened.

It’s time for us to arouse people's awareness of this traditional culture. In my opinion, it’s really a great pleasure to see and even wear such beautiful costumes. And my dream is to be a traditional costume designer and maker. Thus, I will try my best to make more and more people know about them and wear them. Let’s together take some action to make it widely accepted by the public!
